Brian Ruane Discusses – Uncleared Margin Regulations Phase 6
TONIC CO-FOUNDER CRAIG PEARSON SAT DOWN WITH BNY MELLON’S BRIAN RUANE TO DISCUSS COLLATERAL MANAGEMENT, DATA & ANALYTICS AND BNY MELLON’S BUY SIDE STRATEGY
The final phase of UMR went live in September 2022 bringing the largest volume of buy side clients into scope of the Initial Margin regulations to date.
The introduction of these new clients to BNY Mellon’s Collateral Platform opens them up to a wide variety of opportunities to optimise their collateral strategies through access to new data sources and front office analytics tools.
Following on from their conversation earlier in the year on evolving trends in the collateral and post-trade space, Tonic sat down again to discuss some of the UMR experiences and what comes next in more detail, alongside our friend Brian Ruane from BNY Mellon.
Brian is a trusted and respected industry leader, whose views on these topics are always valued.
Tonic is also a long-term partner of BNY Mellon.
Craig Pearson, co-founder at Tonic, had the golden ticket to a fireside chat with Brian.
KEY TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE:
- DIFFERENCES THE INDUSTRY HAS SEEN EVOLVE BETWEEN THE EARLY AND FINAL PHASES OF UMR
- FEEDBACK FROM THE INDUSTRY ON UMR PHASE 6
